It's really funny that in trans circles, "don't trust endos" is a pretty reliable indicator that someone cares for the well-being of their community and actually understands the specific mechanisms that hamper it, while in plural circles it's the exact opposite

just the word, not the people/systems. i don't like the word because it's too medicalized still and because it's also just... not a useful descriptor. everyone's system comes from somewhere; different systems just have different ways of understanding themselves and ways of being (which "endogenic" does nothing to describe). it's the ways that weird little bits of biological essentialism "born this way" stuff creep their way into discussions of endogenic systems that especially makes me dislike the term. the people/systems, however, are fine! i just would like another more descriptive word to use.
