A few months ago, thanks to @alphoenix, the Ministry of Education opened the data on the Social Position Index (IPS) of schools and colleges in France, a quantitative measure of the social situation of students.

I geocoded the 39000+ schools to map them. The scale ranges from yellow for very high IPS to purple for very low IPS. Private schools and colleges are surrounded by a white halo.
