Some random CSS fun.
Did you hear the story about how $400k worth of Playdates were misdelivered by FedEx to a construction site near our warehouse? And then someone just… stole them? Seriously.
Well, guess what got hastily dumped at a random restaurant this morning?
Welcome back stolen Playdates!
Thanks to @cvennevik and @aardrian for pointing out this amazing story.
My opinion: curious coders experimented in good faith, discovered a serious architecture issue with technology and policies, tried to notify and rectify, but got blamed by commercial entities instead of being thanked for their good faith disclosure.
It's very much worth the read:
https://boehs.org/node/npm-everything
junior developer: uses pair programming to learn new technologies & best practices
senior developer: uses pair programming to exchange knowledge and get her code reviewed earlier
principal engineer: uses pair programming because after working on that codebase for 5 years she's too traumatized to venture into it alone without getting a severe hit to wellbeing & needs a companion to be productive
There’s nothing more permanent than a temporary fix that works.
