Autumn Leaves

A little while ago now (I heard today is the last day of winter on the radio, this morning) I saw such a beautiful red tree on my morning walk.

SAHMRI Building

I was really struck by the interior of the SAHMRI building in Adelaide. It was great to see that so much effort had been put into making what needs to be a highly functional research building an interesting place to work.

In Macro Photos, Barry Webb Captures the Fleeting, Otherworldly Characteristics of Slime Molds and Fungi — Colossal

Barry Webb continues his hunt for the speckled, glimmering, and ice-crested organisms that pop up near his home in South Buckinghamshire.

Colossal

Seen while walking the Goods Line in Sydney, a re-greened rail corridor in the style of New York’s Manhattan Sky Line.

Inspired by the idea of a treehouse, the building was designed by architect Frank Gehry as “a growing learning organism with many branches of thought, some robust and some ephemeral and delicate”.

@Sheril As an Australian, I love interacting with librarians. I always end up discovering something new and interesting to read. Big love to librarians!

Libraries are just amazing.

I’m on the other side of the world in a lovely public library in Australia & spotted a book I co-wrote 14 years ago. And no matter where you are, librarians are always the kindest, most helpful people you’ll find. Still, somehow, this magical system of exchanging #books & sharing ideas is entirely free.

@ChaHarper great to see. I went to a rural school with a working farm, and we learnt how to lay hedges. I wish more kids got the chance to appreciate the skills and importance to the countryside of these things.
