Tram track renewed and new level access stop built on Union Road at Melbourne Showgrounds.

The three-track setup has been retained. The centre track is used for tram storage during events. You can see the driver walking path to the left of the approaching tram. Citybound 'through' trams use the outside track on the right when trams are stored.

Low floor G-class trams should run on this route from sometime next year.

AI slop at Flinders Street Station - Waking up in Geelong

I came across an advert for Penrite Oil the other day that is supposed to be about cars and trucks and other things that need motor oil, but the first thing that I noticed was this odd looking scene titled “St Kilda 1926”, featuring four trams running side by side. Four track tramways are incredibly […]

Last video of the year is out! This one is topical so I had a hard deadline to get it published.

Thank you so much to everyone for your support over the past 12 months. Having an audience of interested people gives me the ongoing motivation to keep making videos.

I have some new plans for next year and try some new things, including covering more topics outside Melbourne and some more collaborative projects. As always if you have any ideas or opportunities, please let me know.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2026!

Bicycles and buses can go through, cars have to make a U-turn.

This stops motorists from using Adderley St and Dryburgh St to access Dynon Rd's new connection to CityLink and the Westgate Tunnel.

'The acting State Library Victoria management are rushing dozens of changes to library operations that will degrade and diminish core library services. These will gut the reference library staff (from 21 down to 10) and replace them with “self service” options; and pour taxpayer money into expensive “digital innovation” projects and “experiences” that few people use.'

Hands off our State Library!

Library workers deliver essential services to 2.8 million people in our community each year. They run information services, connect people online, hold free workshops, develop community connections and foster a safe space for people experiencing homelessness and family violence, and deliver services for children and families.      The State Library's expertise in family history research and access to heritage collections are also under direct threat.     Executives are trying to cut 11...

Well this is interesting on Day 2 of the #MetroTunnel and first weekday of operations.

The interchange between Flinders Street and Town Hall Stations is closed when trains have stopped running for the day.

The station itself is open to enter from Collins Street at City Square.
