I'm a PhD Candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast with #ADHD and #PMDD.

I've just begun recruitment on the project, seeking interview participants who have shared, donated, or received human milk. Every story is unique and these stories can shed insight on how human milk and milk sharing practices could and should be valued.

The time has come: I'm seeking participants for my research project The Cost of Human Milk 🎉

The project aims to gather the experiences of people who participate in human milk sharing practices and discover how these stories can provide insight on the value of human milk, bringing awareness to milk donation and #milksharingpractices. Milk sharing practices includes all forms of donation and sharing: donation to #milkbanks, sharing in-person or online, and receiving whether facilitated by a hospital, #online or through a local community.

I am seeking interview participants who:
- are aged 18 and over;
- engaged in milk sharing practices between 2018 and 2023;
- were living in Australia at the time of engaging in these milk sharing practices. This study focuses on experiences in #Australia, but participants do not need to be Australian citizens.

The interviews will be conducted on Zoom and will last approx. 45-60mins.

All parenting relationships and experiences are invited to participate in the study. This study recognises, respects and welcomes participation from women, men, trans, non-binary, and genderqueer people.

If you know someone who may be interested, please feel free to share this post and attached flyer.

Anyone who is interested in signing up as an interview participant or would like more information can use this LINK: tinyURL.com/milksharingresearch
and I will respond directly.

I will be sharing more information including a website with the participant information sheet, but please reach out for a chat if you are interested in learning more.

This research project has been approved by the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Human Ethics Committee, approval number S231877.

#introduction
Hello everyone!

My name is Ali, I'm a #phdstudent at the University of the Sunshine Coast with #ADHD and #PMDD

My project "The Cost of Human Milk" explores the #value(s) of #humanmilk through the lived experience of those who donate, share or receive human milk. (I've just started recruiting. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be posting more about it soon!)

I balance this with casualised work in the university sector as a #sessionalacademic and #researchassistant (both jobs I love, and blessed to be working with total legends) and raising two young kids.

I'm not hugely active on social media but I do love to talk all things #productivity #notetaking #academia #apps and would love to connect with others who share the same interests.

I should add that I can 100% blame @thesiswhisperer and @jasondowns for this; after hearing them rave about Mastodon on the On The Reg podcast (legendary btw), I had no choice but to sign up and now here I am.
I’m new here and have no idea how this works. What should I expect? What should I do?
