A tired queer adult who likes to draw stuff. Mostly OCs... which are mostly women.
I've also been known to do some game modding. Mostly for Baldur's Gate 3.
My interests are varied but I tend to like sci-fi, fantasy, & horror things.
Current Fixationidk man I'm tired

Avatar DescriptionA digital drawing of a person with light purple skin, short curled hair, and brown antlers looking at the viewer. Their eyes are completely white & they have glowing freckles stylized to resemble constellations.
Banner DescriptionA series of 5 digital drawings of various original characters.
Episode 8 of The Amazing Digital Circus dropped last night and I'm just supposed to go to work today? I have to slice up meats and cheeses and make sandwiches while [REDACTED] is rattling around in my head????
Today I found out that a TV movie which I deeply loved as a child, "Voyage of the Unicorn", was adapted from a book by a devout Mormon and idk how to feel about that.

Just one trans woman's opinion, but I hold that the ideal way to recover from accidentally misgendering a person and being called out is to simply repeat the sentence, corrected. No apologies (or just a quick "sorry" or "pardon" if it flows), no justifications. It happens. We get it. Nobody's looking to shame anyone, only correct a mistake before it perpetuates.

A: "And then he told me that he wanted to..."
B: "They"
A: "And then they told me that they wanted to meet me at this coffee shop..."

Designing characters is hard :(

Been trying to work on Fionne and like. I like the criss-cross straps across her chest and the almost off the shoulder collar, and the Circle of The Crossroads symbol I came up with as a sorta belt brooch thing.... but the outfit overall as it is is simply not doing it for me.

Fionne studied the line between sleep and death, frequently crossing that line many times before her actual death (which I've been kinda toying with the idea that she was decapitated; idk why it would happen, I just need a reason for her to have died so Kiernan & Sylvana could find and resurrect her). Like many wizards, she is an academic; the Circle of The Crossroads is a bunch of wizards whose interests all lie within the ideas of liminality and intersectionality so they aid each other in their research.
Fionne is very self-assured and open minded. I've imagined a sort of dynamic between Kiernan, Fionne, and Glen being "the world sucks", "the world is complex", and "the world is just" respectively. Fionne is empathetic and able to look at a problem from different angles and although she is prone to getting caught up in details she is quite capable of realizing this and forcing herself to take a step back and see the bigger picture.

Me: I need to send this to my phone.

Me (two seconds later): Oh, I wonder what this notification is.

Hi #fediverse. We need to talk about something.

While talking to a colleague about how I recently learned most people have never sat on a cow it came up that she has never sat on a horse. Like, not even once during childhood.

Another colleague admitted they also have never sat on a horse.

My hypothesis is that most people have at one point in their life sat on a horse.

Have you sat on a horse?

Please boost for scientific accuracy.

Yes
No

Recently watched something where Brennan Lee Mulligan mentioned "The Phantom Tollbooth" (I can't remember what the video was but he was saying something about rhyme & reason) and I was just so excited at the mention of what was one of my favorite books as a kid and it was like. The first time I had heard any mention of it since elementary school without me seeking it out and it was just very nice.

Now that the poll is done the context for it is that one of my pet peeves is when people don't flatten boxes before tossing them; this is especially prevalent at work where we have some kind of compactor thing in back that we put boxes in, but it seems like I'm the only person who bothers to flatten boxes before putting them in.
But I'm also the only person in the deli who flattens the smaller boxes that we just put in the trash can, or when there's multiple containers I'll nest them in each other so they take up less space in the trash.

So! I'm glad to see that the vast majority of people who answered this also flatten their boxes. Thank you everyone for your service
