I cannot understate the joy that I have experienced setting up a remote Gentoo server that is precompiling all of my packages so that my laptop doesn't have to.

My first successful binary emerge @world being done in minutes was pure *chef's kiss*

Plasma has enabled me to make a functional desktop in the style of a Destiny/MMO HUD. I'm thoroughly pleased (even if the eye-candy is somewhat taxing).
