@jpthuot03 I tried. I have a buy me a coffee and a patreon. I even released a second edition of my book to try to partially help the server. This server only has 1 other active person with me. I'm happy to keep it on if I can get just a few bucks a month to help out.

You know, I'm actually pretty disappointed Easton Press doesn't have a copy of the #Tao Te Ching. One of the most important #religious texts in #history, much older than the #bible, and it's just not there. But man good thing we have that #Fantastic Four history.

Oh wow, I can't believe I have 10,000 followers on here already! Here are my favorite things about Mastodon, in no particular order:

1. No algorithm.
2. No Elon Musk stalking my posts and dming me to ask if I think he's cool.
3. No Elon Musk asking me if I really mean it when I lie to him and tell him he's cool out of sheer politeness.
4. No Elon Musk flooding my dms with requests that I tell all my friends that he's cool and not a big loser.
5. You people have said nice things about my cats.

Considering moving #instances again. There hasn't been the growth I hoped admining my own. I also miss a local feed. I own the #domain so maybe I could use it just my #blog. Split my site into two maybe. Books on one side, blog on the other.

Today has been a rough day so far. Nothing wrong really happened. I'm just a little emotionally checked out. The house is a wreck and I'm stuck on writing. I just want to go back to bed 🛏️

Twitter said they were shutting down the API these tools rely on last Monday, but this doesn't seem to have happened yet.
