“The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was unanimous.’ That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.” - Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH)

Companies aren’t people. No one working there when you were 13 is still there now.

This doesn’t have to feel like a “loss”. On the contrary, I’d argue that rejecting today’s Apple is the only way to keep a piece of that old Apple around. Think of it this way: I’m pretty sure that original Mac team that put up the pirate flag would agree with you today and not “Apple leadership.” You aren’t losing that 13 year old version of yourself right now, you are making him proud.

This fake Apple award thing completely symbolizes the trust that’s been lost. I can’t trust this company anymore. And it sucks. I know no company can be trusted, but part of me is still that 13 year old boy who told his father, “absolutely, dad, if you get me a Mac Plus it can be my birthday and Christmas present for two years.” And it was. I guess I literally was a fan boy. And that innocence is gone.

Remember Project 2025? (If you don't, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYwqpx6lp_s)

A certain Dustin J. Carmack participated in its redaction (he wrote the “Intelligence Community” section). He previously worked for the DeSantis campaign, and The Heritage Foundation before that.

He's now working at Meta, and he's in charge of the company’s public policy.

I found out today that Dune (the actual book from 1966) is available copyright-free from Archive dot org as an ePub / PDF for digital reading (https://archive.org/details/dune-saga-collection/Dune%20Saga%20Collection/Brian%20Herbert/House%20Atreides%20%28278%29/House%20Atreides%20-%20Brian%20Herbert/), and I naturally went on a hunt for the nicest cover to add it to Apple Books.

There’s a LOT of awesome Dune cover art! Here's a fantastic history on Dune art through the years: https://t.co/khptGz4Pbi

Looks like TestFlight's S3 bucket, covering the period before and up to when Apple acquired the company, was indexed and scraped, and has leaked to archive.org.

This likely contains every unencrypted binary submitted between 2012 and 2015 to the service — ‘terabytes of data’. Dated February 2015. “…and includes several unreleased Angry Birds games.”

No, Apple, a well thought-out minimalistic pomodoro app from an indie developer is not spam. It provides users with a choice. Stop insulting developers, Apple.

https://breaks.app by @zachwaugh was rejected by Apple as spam because the App Store already contains pomodoro apps with similar concepts. The App Store also contained quite a few journaling apps before you launched your Journal app yesterday, Apple.
