RE: https://hachyderm.io/@pointfreeco/116086731289960652

I’m more than happy for the Point-Free guys to figure all this shit out and give me useful higher level tools so I don’t have to worry about it

But in the last week I've knocked off 4 decent-sized things on the backlog using codex. I tried that in the past, but it just hit the point now where it works (for me) and I can actually get something meaningful done in a short session which in turn gives me energy to do more
Going all in on codex has fixed my side project paralysis. I've been stuck with @artifacts for a while now. I just don't have enough time to work on it and slow progress becomes a negative feedback loop that is really demotivating. End up not wanting to work on it at all
Spiked out adding MCP support to @artifacts. Hard to say how useful it is, but I think it's a promising direction for allowing AI tools to access relevant info you might have saved
Still my most frustrating part of SwiftUI, nice brand new apis that solve a problem I have and not available on macOS. I don't get the point of not having this stuff just work across all platforms
If you're targeting iOS26/macOS26 only, do you only need the Icon Composer icon? Or do you still need the normal app icon as well?
I still wish Apple fully brought UIKit to Mac years ago instead of doing Catalyst

Gruber notes it was only 3 weeks to ship GPT-5 support in Xcode after it launched, but it was available in Cursor and most other tools the same day. I think Apple needs to overhaul how they ship software, shouldn't need a whole new Xcode to support another model or new iOS SDK

I submitted @artifacts TestFlight updates two days ago. As usual, iOS approved instantaneously and now macOS has been waiting for two days and I'm ready to submit new version. Apple needs to change something so TestFlight isn't a bottleneck, especially this close to release

I have to admit I like it more than I thought I would, liquid glass feels pretty nice on a content heavy app like @artifacts https://indieapps.space/@artifacts/115106514834724905
