It’s a travesty that 5 years after the event, we still don’t have a movie or a mini-series about the Evergiven and the Suez Canal.
It was the most glorious global news story ever. It impacted many, yet hurt no one. It had global commerce drama and slapstick comedy. It unfolded hilariously, spurred a thousand memes.
We could all watch this re-enacted without feeling bad. It could be a drama or a comedy. It could be staged with 5 different POVs.

Working title: “Never-given”.

After my experiments with APFS cloning, I made a Quick Action shortcut for Finder that’s much faster than Duplicate or “cp -c -R”, both of which clone files individually instead of the whole tree in one go.

@jmvanderpol I think this is a TestFlight installation glitch where it had trouble replacing the old Files app location. If you force quit and relaunch the app it should go away.

@jncn Thank you.

It will be given a “destructive” modifier and that should give it proper placement.

I'm beta testing the ability to sync folders in the Files app/Finder with a folder on S3. Could even be used for backup if you enable versioning on the bucket.

Help me test it and let me know how it could better fit your needs.

@santi I long for the time where I can run something like this myself.

Doesn’t even have to be on my main computer but could be some box sitting in the office with lots of GPU. I certainly founds the models from a year ago good enough and open weights models are often a year behind, so they *just* have to get less memory hungry for it to be viable.

@santi Right now OpenAI has codex cli that is close to a drop-in replacement but that company is certainly problematic as well.

I’m experimenting with OpenCode that can connect to a lot of providers.
