The Mini-Lab is complete!
4 Lenovo Thinkcentres with a Protectli box all in a #ProxMox cluster, and a #Synology NAS for all the files to be backed up to. Each box has 250gb SSDs so they can manage most of their own stuff, but the NAS helps for HA and backups. The NAS does a great job hosting my photos and media, and the other boxes do great at.... Everything else!
Anyone else got a potpourri cable bucket?
This thing is freaking SMOL. Say hello to SMOL-NAS. My new shared storage for the little Mini-PC ProxMox cluster.
None of the Mini-PCs had room for additional storage, so for VMs, CTs etc. I needed something they could all share. This is just about as big as those PCs and all fits on the same shelf!
So far so good! Migrating 6TB of data over the network to spinning-disk HDDs to a #Synology #NAS for a temporary hold while I get my servers set up to have redundant file storage. Originally 30TB of various old HDDs will be consolidated in to two 6TB drives per server for 12TB. No need for RAID when the hardware IS the RAID!
Wish me luck! Removing a couple of drives from the pool. Always makes me nervous when I mess with critical data. But I need to make a redundant server to prevent future loss due to hardware loss.
