@boilingsteam About the EA launcher that has been added on top of several games recently (a replacement for Origin launcher on those EA games, but actually chainloading both in some cases) and that is causing them to fail to run on Linux / Steam Deck, this may be a worthy read (deeper explanation & fix):

tl;dr: EA didn't bother to get things done correctly but Valve pushed their own fix to Proton Experimental, so use that version for those games (for now)

I used to have one of those, and it had a surprisingly stable signal across several rooms!

maybe what bricked yours is related to the first item in the "Issues" list?
ps: make sure to doublecheck the hardware revision version on the hardware and on the instructions, before flashing any alternative firmwares to any routers... this is often overlooked with dire consequences
