Built inside the Zipaquirá salt mine, everything was done by the miners themselves and it is the only salt building with a religious and cultural purpose. It was voted one of the seven wonders of Colombia.

And the day starts with a nice coconut lemonade. Our guide Camilo picked us up at the hotel to begin our journey to the lake of Eldorado's history, the famous Lake Guatavita, which I'll tell you more about in a future post. And of course, the incredible people we met. Erika (Mexico), Neil (South Africa), Lucy (Czech Republic), Camilo (Colombia) and my husband Bruno.
