New to the platform so I intend to mostly lurk until I figure out the cultural norms of the service as well as the inner workings. Obviously migrating from TwitMusk service. Opened that account back in early 2009 and grew to really enjoy engaging with mostly great people. I am hoping to find them over here. I downloaded my data from TwitMusk but it doesn’t seem that I can import it onto this service. The data is apparently n both JSON and HTML. I see that I can import CSV files. Will work on it.

So let me get this straight: The so-called "originalists" on the Supreme Court have essentially given the U.S. president the power of monarchs. Just days before the 4th of July, mind you. The hypocrisy is staggering.
When Hillary Clinton called MAGA supporters “deplorables,” it was in the news forever. We still talk about it today. But when Trump called his political enemies “vermin”—actually invoking the words of Adolf Hitler—the press just moves on like it’s nothing. They are failing us.

The latest Trump indictment is part of a process that could steer the United States back toward the rule of law.

The alternative is stark: If Trump -- or Trumpism -- regains the presidency and Congress, democracy will not survive.

This should be obvious now to every journalist, even the most weak-kneed, both-sides normalizers of extremists. And it's long past time for Big Journalism to act accordingly.

Yet when you look at the coverage, you see that business as usual prevails.

I have sufficient reason and evidence to believe that I was terminated from Rune Labs in retaliation for protected anti-discrimination whistleblowing activity.

Normally, NDA would prohibit me from disclosing this. However, thanks to Washington’s Silenced No More Act, my ability to speak about discrimination, harassment, or retaliation that I have witnessed in the workplace is legally protected.

🔊Boosts appreciated.

I Was Laid Off In Retaliation for Anti-Discrimination Whistleblowing – Haste Makes Waste

In order to protect women, gender nonconforming folks, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community from suffering as my peers and I have, I feel ethically obligated to go public with my experience. In this article, I will outline why I have sufficient reason to believe that my former employer Rune Labs has violated US anti-discrimination labor laws.

Two Republicans admitted this week they don't care if their anti-trans legislation harms or kills their own children.

They pretty obviously don't care if kids die for their love of guns.

This is not a political party. It's a death cult. And it should be removed from power at every level by whatever means necessary.

Trans people are beautiful.

Trans people are loved.

The trans community is part of American history and cannot be erased.

Senator Feinstein, I voted for you every time that you were on the ballot for the more than 1 1/2 decades that I lived in SF, CA. I sincerely thank you for your illustrious career, your continued accomplishments, and your commitment spanning the many decades of public service.

"Less than 24 hours after a jury in Austin found Daniel Perry guilty of shooting to death a protester, Gov. Greg Abbott announced on social media Saturday that he would pardon the convicted killer as soon as a request "hits my desk."

"The unprecedented effort, which Abbott announced to his 1 million followers on Twitter, came as Abbott faced growing calls from national conservative figures such as Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Kyle Rittenhouse...."

Gov. Greg Abbott announces he will push to pardon Daniel Perry after murder conviction

Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted after Tucker Carlson called out the governor on his broadcast to say that Texas did not recognize the right of self-defense.

Austin American-Statesman

TX AG Ken Paxton, who serves as the state's highest law enforcement officer despite being under a felony indictment, "is lashing out at a 'Soros-backed' prosecutor after a jury found Daniel Perry, a U.S. Army sergeant, guilty in the shooting death" of a #BLM protester.

Perry ran his car into a crowd protesting racist policing before killing Garrett Foster. Prosecutors showed that he had previously talked about killing BLM protesters.

If that isn't #fascism, then the word has no meaning.
