@geewhiz common misconception: the 24hr wait is one-time. you have to do that once to enable installing from unknown sources, and then after that it is as usual.

heya, btw, SafteyNet was deprecated a while ago, and was replaced with Google Play Integrity (which is a lot harder to bypass, and requires basically stealing private key files from companies which Google has trusted with valid keyfiles in order to do so)

I'd just recommend never using WiFi you dont have administrative control over.
