With Twitter Services Limited And Unreliable, Americans Turn To “Books” To Determine Whether Jews Fabricated Red Cross Blood Drives As Part Of Great Replacement

This is hilarious. It appears that Twitter is DDOSing itself.

The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning. Even though nothing loads, the Twitter website never stops trying and trying.

In the first video, notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. Then notice the jiggling scrollbar on the right.

The second video shows why it's jiggling. Twitter is firing off about 10 requests a second to itself to try and fetch content that never arrives because Elon's latest genius innovation is to block people from being able to read Twitter without logging in.

This likely created some hellish conditions that the engineers never envisioned and so we get this comedy of errors resulting in the most epic of self-owns, the self-DDOS.

Unbelievable. It's amateur hour.

@Lolo

Nicer people. And as a bonus it's working.

Twitter shut itself down on the first day of Q3 and we're supposed to believe that this is about anything other than a free cash flow crunch?

Anyone check whether Google Cloud finally cut Elon off due to nonpayment?

@Gal_suburban

Hope all is well. Saw you're not on twitter anymore.

@trcfwtt

Been awhile since I've been on mastodon. I need to be here more often but yes your threads that are archived will be real handy.

I just stole (re-used) some of your pics of docs on twitter. Hope you don't mind it was easier than linking to mastodon.

@WalterShaub

I watched the Banshees of Inisherin which I liked very much because it wasn't a comic book movie. Not exactly an adventure movie though.

@trcfwtt

Yeah there is a difference between doing something out of necessity versus principle.

I think so many of us have been desperate for any Republicans to break their silence and tell the truth about Trump that we get excited when one to an extent does. We are all so used to the lies and gaslighting. We're so used to the cult of personality. It's sad really.

@trcfwtt

Absolutely right. And that's the reason it all happened. It's the reason he was able to do so many shitty things.

I'm glad she gave her public testimony but it's kind of like Pence not throwing out the electors. Sure it's good he didn't reject electors but he facilitated so much shit.

I expect when Rs finally ditch Trump they'll do what they always do and just pretend like they had nothing to do with it.

Note that the J6C Report begins where only a handful of reporters have gone: with the words of the actual rioters. You need that to prove incitement but TV lawyers said it was all a waste of time.
