@geerlingguy Can you hit > 9 Gbps with iperf on Linux if you increase the thread count (4)? With default MTU I often don't see 10G with a single thread
@stueja People seem to think that moving to Linux is about replicating your Windows life as close as possible, but it's absolutely not. It's about learning that things are actually better without all that fluff.

My two go-tos:
IPv6: same fqdn for both internal and external access because the IP is the same!
IPv4: split horizon because I don't want to have update the hostname on my chat app (or other app connections) every time I leave the house, and I want speedy local access when I'm home.

Long story short IPv6 rules, even though it comes with its own caveats

@killyourfm One can hope. But I bet they find a way to surprise us with their greed and ineptitude... They are already limited by console specs and the vast majority of devs still seem to jump on the Unreal stutter train. I appreciate your optimize though 😅
@Canageek xfs is totally fine. The speed limitation will not be the filesystem, it'll be hardware.
