Just for clarity, they did it on free speech grounds. So where we're at is that it's more important for bigot nazis to be able to call their children abominations and unnatural, than it is that we ensure non-hetero children survive to become adults. That's where we're at; they just legalized conversion therapy, on SPEECH grounds.

Trans people should be visible.
If you think trans people (or anyone else within pride) is political, it's because you've bought in to a 100-ish-year-old lie that the hetero normative nuclear (and white) family is the only way to live. Because when your community is that small, it's fragile and controllable. Anyone outside that framework is a threat to power. We should all be a threat
That's emphatically not "the point to anti-trans violence is how it affects cis people," it's almost the exact opposite: we're getting hurt because a lot of cis people aren't standing up for themselves, preferring to let us get hurt instead.
One way cis people can help trans people today and every other day of the year is to stand up for yourself, refuse to let trans people be a wedge.
The SCOTUS deciding to fuck over trans people on TDoV 8–1 is a great example of what I meant the other day about trans people being a wedge that the right-wing can use to hurt others.
I don't think we're the primary target for that ruling, it reads to my lay understanding as an attack on administrative state regulation of medical practice *in general*. But we're easy to hurt, so they come after us first in order to do harm to others.
