FYI, CWs are not about censorship. They're about consent. If I happen to be a survivor of (insert traumatic situation here, e.g. school shootings) the last thing I want is having said content being shoved in my face.
Free speech means you can express your opinions. It does NOT mean having every single person on the planet listen to what you have to say, as if we were in some internet version of the Clockwork Orange.
But apparently a lot of people have no idea what "respecting boundaries" mean, and confuse "I'm sick tired of hearing about this and need some time to cool off without having some trauma triggered over and over" with "I hate liberty and despise everything about your political opinion".
Like... dude.
Though it's tempting to get out the world's tiniest violin when Sam Bankman-Fried complains about his peanut butter sandwiches, it should make you wonder: if even he can't have his basic needs met in jail, what about the less privileged?
