We shouldn't even call fellow Muslims "كافر" (kafir) that easily. Our Prophet ﷺ warned us already. I hope we won't become desensitised to using that word so easily now just because that warmonger has it tattooed on his flour-coloured bicep (haram police, I'm looking at you).

Pro-monarchists are the majority in the diaspora, while the pro-IRI diaspora moves like a true thought-terminating police force, corrupting the pro-Palestine movement with their apathetic, misogynistic impulses and nationalistic crap; and worse, way too many Muslims and Westerners are too comfortable with making everything binary. Not surprised at the latter tbh, Westerners can’t help but lean on their exceptionalism & campism. It’s fellow Muslims that I can’t even- just- Get your shit together, fam.

Propaganda doesn't always mean fabrication. That’s the most basic misunderstanding. Propaganda is often selective truth, not pure lies. It curates what’s shown, when, and to whom.

Power doesn’t need to lie outright when it can stage reality.

But most people don’t train themselves to read power.They train themselves to pick sides, even if they claim to be neutral, impartial, or irrelevant, just anything to prevent their thoughts from working overtime, even if they claim to hold two truths at once, and that’s the mistake. In reality, there are not just two truths or sides.

No wonder they retreat into binaries: real vs fake, West vs non-West, truth vs propaganda.

Yes, it is about campist roleplaying as anti-imperialist.
