People often mistake my tone for superiority, but it's really just repressed anger as well as a touch of intergenerational trauma and the burden of political consciousness that comes with being a Global South native in the eastern part of the world, carrying exhaustion, global suspicion from being visibly Muslim, and the unpaid debt of reparations from colonisation, gentrification, and ongoing resource extraction.
