What bothers me: All the (not only NMR) world is scrambling for Helium. A major vendor of Helium declares they are not interested in buying back compressed Helium from an NMR lab. So the management decides not to install a recycling facility.
NB: that did not happen at my universities.
@SanderSays Unfortunately with the standard pulse program library the Fids are accumulated immediately . This is owed to the time when storage space cost a fortune and should be considered obsolete today. I suggested it in a few papers (on cogwheel and multiplex phase cycling) but they did not find much response.
