@stux Look I always felt that democracy got off waaaay to easy after the Second World War. But the issue is, what would you replace it with?

@susankayequinn I mean, 90% of it is weird dumb and culty almost certainly. But the idea of a "network state" is interesting.

There is no natural law that says that nation states are the be-all-end-all of human organizations.

Nations states themselves of course wouldn't agree, nor would the education systems they fund, etc. etc.

But forever is a long time. Many things can happen to change human organization on planet earth long after we are all dead.

@slightlyoff Apple is currently the greatest threat to digital liberty, even macOS I'd argue. A fully ARM ecosystem let them break any ties they had to the PC world and fully lock everything down.
