Lose. It's spelled lose.
@Ciaraioch you are right, look at the misery it is causing to you and many in the same boat, not to mention the employees summarily fired
Musk has a lot to answer for
@Ciaraioch it’s horrible and lots of little businesses and makers are going to suffer through the FB meltdown too.
I hope that we can quickly find ways to keep you occupied between Greek nymph murals.
@Ciaraioch That is both funny and truly sad. My heart goes out to people who invested in the platform before it was high-jacked.
It's no simple decision to walk away from what I feel is an increasingly toxic mess that is Twitter.
I still have a shared account that is active there which is used to spread the word on the @IrishStewPodcast which I cohost. It's not entirely my decision to leave it behind
I'm unclear on whether commercial options are welcome or feasible on Mastodon
@Ciaraioch I feel for the businesses small and large that were using the platform for marketing, pumping thousands (or hundreds of thousands) into advertising all for Elon to make a huge seismic shift in the company in just two weeks.
15 years of reputation built up for it to be gone in 14 days.
No one could see this coming and no one can stop Elon. We can only sit on the sidelines and watch what he does.
There could be one or two susceptible 21st Century monarchs who may be interested or, at worst, a bank of over-inflated billionaires to draw (and, for that matter, draw from)

@Ciaraioch Don't give up too much on the idea of making sales here. I like peeking into the .art instance sometimes, and they talk what they can do make more sales on mtsdn
For the people who have found homes on mastodon.art in the past 1-2 weeks, how have you found the engagement here, compared to the other social networking sites you might be on? Are you finding that you have much more activity on your posts, even with far fewer followers, and a much smaller potential audience? Have you had more art sales or donations since you've been here than what you usually have elsewhere?
