#Android phone / contacts app feature request:

If I used to call a person regularly but stopped doing it altogether more than a month ago, maybe stop pushing their contact to the top of the list every chance you get?

Whatever the reason we're not talking anymore, I probably don't want to get reminded of it daily...
POV: You made the mistake of trying to track a package in 2024

Soooo, an #ElixirConf EU ticket costs more than a basic Mac mini or 4-hour-flight return plane ticket to the conference from the other end of Europe. All while the conference has 10+ sponsors and doesn’t pay the speakers (at least they didn’t use to, maybe now they do).

It’s not about building the community anymore, is it?

Remember how Windows has a dedicated default shortcut for opening LinkedIn?

KDE Plasma users do not fret. Since KDE is all about copying Windows Plasma 6 will come with the same wrist-breaking shortcut by default:

❓ What tool would y’all use to create and maintain a cheat sheet for something?

I care about the ease of editing over time, readibility, acceptable aesthetics, and the ability to export to a PDF.

I’m currently partial to https://cheatography.com/ , but it would be great if there was a FOSS alternative that didn’t require me to create LaTeX templates or style out stylesheets by hand.

Lazyweb question: Anyone have a favorite color tablet that's good for comic books?

I guess "big iPad" is maybe the answer, but I kinda want an android tablet

De-cloud and de-k8s — bringing our apps back home

For the Operations team at 37signals, the biggest effort in 2023 is removing our dependencies on the cloud and migrating our application stacks back into the data center onto our own hardware. We’ve already made amazing progress in a fairly short time — let’s get into some details!
