Nice write-up by Anita on her experience with speaking at ElixirConf EU last year and her first steps into openly engaging with the community.

My first steps in public speaking and how you can do it, tooAnita's pages

I walked into the room where I would give my first conference talk just to get a feel for it. Seeing all those empty chairs, my nerves hit me like a ton of bricks.

Anyone tried Keila? Open source, Elixir-based. Sending newsletters type deal. I don't have the bandwidth to transition my terrible mess of Campaign Monitor nonsense at the moment but this thing has sat on my list for a good while.

Since PWC 360's tasks are "Text Justifier" and "Word Sorter", I first thought about trying to find some song in my music collection that featured justification. Then the weird part of my brain took over, and insisted on Al Yankovich's "Word Crimes". #PerlWeeklyChallenge #raku #perl #python #elixir

Hi there, Elixir friends! Hologram v0.7.0 is out! :) 49 contributors ported 150 Erlang functions used by Elixir's client-side runtime, pushing coverage from 34% to 96%. (Hologram compiles Elixir to JS for the browser.) hologram.page/blog/porting... #Hologram #Elixir #ElixirLang #BEAM #WebDev
Does anyone have any tips for learning #elixir ? I've always used IntelliJ as my IDE but it seems to behave slightly inconsistently when using elixir. Also is there any way you get the interactive debugging to work like you would with say Java?

I'm so glad I've started developing with #gleam. As a #rust developer, I find it really fun to use. I've always considered the BEAM ecosystem extremely powerful and cool, but I've never enjoyed Elixir; Gleam really makes me appreciate it.

I've released my first library for Gleam, a full #ftp client based on my suppaftp crate.
