> Figure 2-1. 100-kV Reference Voltage
It said high-voltage reference on the tin. I expected high-voltage, just not 100kV.

We just released a new video on theory and experimentation with high speed high linearity analog optoisolator circuits, DC to 1MHz.

I feel it turned out pretty well, give it a watch!

Boosts appreciated!

Crisp solderpaste 😋
first board of the year! (designed and ordered last year)
this is a bipolar analog bias supply for bread-board and also solder-on use.
this is, i think the third iteration of this circuit and i got tired of layouting it over and over again so now it’s a module.
It‘s wide-vin with a boost, an inverting buck-boost and a TPS7A39 LDO to have clean supplies.
of course the LEDs are also animated

they work! I'm now running rust on my earrings.

and battery life is much better than expected (more than 4h, depending on the brightness of the LEDs).

So it turns out that there is a typo in the datasheet and there is no separate VDDUSB and VDD on this footprint.

So my approach of splitting these two rails to save power when only a battery is used was entirely pointless and the two rails are shorted. No wonder nothing works.

The typo is mentioned in some ST forum thread, and will be corrected in the "coming release of the datasheet" :(

Soldering done, let's see if they work? Any guesses what they are?
New project time :) finished populating two boards, already found some mistakes so these are only to test the basic functionality. Solder paste job could be better but I think this is good enough :) let's see if it reflows #electronics #pcb
