@thefunnypages I live alone, so when I showed my brother my new Dyson vacuum cleaner, his wife said "You can't buy one until the old one breaks". Having someone veto any of my purchases never occurred to me.

But 15 years later, the Dyson's motorized head died. And they stopped making replacement parts for it 5 years ago. I guess my brother dodged that bullet.
