Man, wait 'till this guy finds out about gun violence.

I totally understand if you have to unfollow me after I tell you this, but I have to come clean.

I used to like Kenny G.

Feels like itโ€™s time to give #Linux on desktop a new spin. Itโ€™s been a while. #Debian #Trixie with #Xfce goes first ๐Ÿš€
Itโ€™s satire, but weโ€™re likely very nearly there. And Clown Prince Trump has a nice ring to it!

Warning: Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly Media now wants every human programmer to be replaced by Gen AI. Tim O'Reilly/company policy on book editing and writing went from "avoid Gen AI" to "you must use Gen AI as much as possible, we will monitor you through KPIs to use it as much as possible. So avoid O'Reilly books. Support an indie author. Plenty of them out there who write and sell books. No need to support corporate overlords. @SmudgeTheInsultCat fuck it, make that shit automatic
@SmudgeTheInsultCat your car honk is just as loud inside the car
@Stellar
Yes, the horn is even louder in the car AND it should apply the brakes because in most cases the horn is used when the brakes should be...
@SmudgeTheInsultCat
@Stellar @SmudgeTheInsultCat the cashier is legally required to be as rude to you as you are to them
@SmudgeTheInsultCat yeah, it would make the death toll rise to oblivion

@funbaker @SmudgeTheInsultCat They do stipulate something that will never happen - you'd need to have a different test for your license, etc. Basically a parallel universe scenario.

A sudden universal implementation of it would create some great dashcam footage though

@funbaker @SmudgeTheInsultCat Actually thinking about the number of times cars need to turn when a signal isn't necessary, like on twisty mountain roads, I think it might be logically impossible since the car can't determine exactly where it is.

People who are big fans of JG Ballard's _Crash_ will probably still be in favor.

@SmudgeTheInsultCat If your cell phone is on, the car wonโ€™t start.
