"If you're not on board with AI you're going to get left behind"

Boost if you'd like to be left behind and would consider paying extra for a life without this bullshit.

3k boost edit: everyone who said a variant of "why should I pay" is right, but the world is wrong.

This is unpopular opinion, but for Firefox to live, Mozilla, as it currently operates, needs to die.

They forgot their core user base hates cloud and AI features. They want a simple browser that connects to web servers and displays pages. Meanwhile, executive are getting fat salaries and bounces while begging users for money on AI and other privacy intrusion projects like adding perplexity directly to Firefox. They lost their vision long time ago.

Billionaire brats were so happy and smug when stealing content from artists and others, breaking all copyright laws without paying journalists and book writers, telling others that their content didn’t matter, and using massive amounts of energy and water, causing issues for low-income families. Saying stuff like job loss due to AI is good for the rest of us, and it is necessary. What’s the matter now? Today, are you not opening your pie hole to say and do nasty things? 🤣

"So how many unread books do you have on your shelf?"

Me: *proudly* Ha! I've read almost all of them.

"Okay, but what about your ebooks?"

@stroughtonsmith any idea why the RC build number wouldn't be a usual release branch number?
Weird, the iOS and iPadOS RC build numbers have an extra digit compared to historical release branches, and also none of the other RCs follow that extra digit build number trend (22A3354 instead of 22A354?)

A friend of mine, who's a lead developer on a major app that I’m absolutely sure you’ve heard of (and have probably used) was asked a question last night that pissed both of us off:

“Do you work in design or HR?”

This friend is a woman. This woman is at WWDC. This woman has coding chops that could kick your ass.

Do not make assumptions about _anyone_ at a conference.

When you do, you look like a dumbass.

Publicly available container images are very similar to USB drives you find in the parking lot. They are meant to be downloaded and run in production.
I continue to hold out hope that someday we’ll have 4K remastering of #StarTrek #DeepSpaceNine. These restored clips just look so damned good. The show deserves it through and through. https://youtu.be/6FSud5Hl0Tc

A not fun fact: I didn't get a security bounty for a macOS release that was done specifically to address an issue I found.

https://mjtsai.com/blog/2024/05/14/no-bounty-for-kernel-vulnerability/

The rational was that I disclosed the issue publicly. Which I did after reporting it in the beta releases, and after they said “we're unable to identify an issue in your report”, AND AFTER THEY RELEASED THE FUCKING VULNERABILITY.

I have no energy/desire to argue with Apple, but this ain't a good look for a $3T company.
