@markmoxon thank I might checkout this MAX commander, see if it improves my chances, tho I feel like I was getting ever closer back to Lave station 😁
@markmoxon brilliant stuff, many thanks for your efforts, I've really enjoyed trying out new versions as features have been added tho I still suck really badly at it! I've yet to get to back to Lave after visiting Leesti without being killed 😁
Old, but still relevant and still funny.
@janbeta I don't even have one of these Moo guns but I've really enjoyed this little series on modding and fixing yours. It's really boosted the appeal of these cheap(er) solder suckers.
The more I learn about cryptography, the more I think Alice and Bob should probably just talk in person.
Edinburgh clearly has a sense of humour!

@ctrlaltrees @rasteri sorry Rees not meaning to cause ya stress... Just Rasteri mentioned looking into the tape port in his video and i was like, hmm i may have something more interesting than the IBM Diagnostics tape to load there if he's interested...

For Rasteris benefit I sent Rees a cassette tape version of PCMAN I'd made as a little prezzie for Adrian Black when he was due to come to the UK. I passed it on to Rees instead as Adrian didn't make it in the end, as hes only other person I knew with a 5150 😊

@rasteri VW Westlife did a nice video loading all the known official tapes for PC, all 2 of them I think! Its what made me want to expand the library - that and to make PC users suffer like I did with loading games on my Speccy back in the day 😁

@rasteri yeah very cool. I'm sure I've heard that IBM did offer a Floppy-less, 16/64kb? base configuration but the myth is that nobody bought that option as they all wanted DOS and a floppy drive, but I like to think some cheapskate picked the floppyless version and was stuck with Cassettes and BASIC...

Converting a PC Booter game wasn't too hard, the loader is fairly simple to convert to Cassette BIOS routines instead of Floppy routines, so there might be some smaller games that would work with 16kb. I can't remember what PCMAN uses...

@rasteri I wish I'd known you were restoring a 5150 and wanted to play with the Cassette interface! 😋 I think it should work with almost a barebones, floppy less 64kb machine as the main spec, so could be fun to see how little PC you need to play pacman on 😁 Anyways fun for after your hols, hope youre having a good one!
