I am delighted to announce my THIRD cold in four weeks. I’m really hoping the worst of it ebbs before my final class of the semester, tomorrow. In the meantime, I’m using my scraps of energy to inch forward on redrawing some digital pencils for my
#wipIt's not a spoiler if no one follows me here! These are the comics pages I just finished (don't ask me when I started them) for my
#GraphicNovel #wip #SovietJewishThing I pastiche a different artist/art style for each interviewee (the pencil crayon panels are the "present day" framing story). (Pages are not in sequence)
I am here to corroborate what you’ve heard about colds and flus being way up, especially among school kids. I got hit with a sudden head cold last night and it’s my second in three weeks. Bleh. (Also I REALLY hope I’m better before my desperately needed hair appointment this weekend)
#introduction I was cold-emailing someone two days ago, and linked them to my first, self-published graphic novel on Amazon.

It feels great to start finding people on here! I want to share an event I'll be at in

BiblioEventsWe cooked a pot of ramen, fully scratch (except the noodles), from
@sarahbecan LETS MAKE RAMEN! It was amazing. It’s def not a beginner or “easy weeknight” sort of cookbook though. I was ready to give up but my 10-year-old pushed us through.
One soothing ritual I like to do after overly-interacting-with-people days (such as in-person teaching) is dress in black. It makes me feel like I don’t have to be on display. And then the Fantagraphics t-shirt is to remind me that I have a nice publisher and I should try to draw today?

I’ve been… jogging. It started as walking a circuit around my neighbourhood during lockdown for mental health and I gradually started moving my legs faster. Sometimes.
Then we had that 5-month summer in BC, and I was going out 6 days a week. The last 3 weeks, in a move I feel is very bad luck, I bought a dedicated jogging headwrap, gloves, and jacket. Please don’t tell
Anyway, hello I’m an adjunct illustration professor, a semi-professional Jew, and a very slow cartoonist. Here’s a random photo of unfinished pages from my
