In 2023 we spent some weeks on Madeira. What a beautiful island with so much space to discover.
One thing, I love is taking long exposures of waterfalls, so this was stood on my bucket list 😇
It's located on the Levada do Rei.

This was the very last photo, I took before we left Norway.
It’s the big Tromsø bridge viewed from the harbor.
The next day we left Norway while it started to rain as the temperatures rose.

And so, our journey comes full circle.
On Monday we drove back to Tromsø, from where we flew back to Germany yesterday. On the way, we made another stop at Otertinden, which this time also presented us with its main summit. 😎

Dramatic sky over Hamn i Senja.

Today we leave Senja and spend the last night in Tromsø before leaving Norway tomorrow morning.

The last 2 days have been a challenge. We've had strong winds and/or snow all day. Yesterday we drove the road to Sifjord. But in hindsight, that wasn't necessarily wise. Sometimes you could hardly see the next road marking because of all the snow (drifts). But we made it home safely, so today is our last photo of the island.

Trudging up a mountain in snowshoes for 2 hours, pressing the camera shutter a few times and then heading straight back to the starting point.
Can you ever do that, right? 🤪
In the meantime, it had snowed heavily, so I was worried that we would be up there for nothing. But we were lucky and it cleared briefly for 5 minutes.
The two photos are just 2 minutes apart and then it closed up so much that you couldn't see the mountain at all.
