Fun late night #DnD last night with my character Jimmy Stoneford. Team got to take down a wraith lord, negotiate with a legion of mercs and the asshole magistrate who contracted them, and some lizardfolk.
Used Fiverr to hire out an artist to do a rendition of my character. Real $$ to a real artist instead of Midjourney!

AaronBREAKING: Starbucks to shut down *all* Ithaca locations as a part of its union busting efforts.
This means that over 30 people will lose their jobs, as a result of Starbucks' illegal anti-union efforts.
Ithaca was the first city that had 100% of its Starbucks stores unionized & now it will the first city to have all of its Starbucks stores shuttered.

Aaaand a frustrating day in the dilithium mines, too. Project I was excited about/making good progress on has been back burnered for more nebulous "research" and "planning" for stuff that last time I tried just ended up making a bunch of meetings with no decisions.🙄

Sorry chief, trans people exist. They've always existed and will continue to exist. It's people like you that want them to be miserable, hidden, or even just dead.
Had a reply say that it's the "parents right to know" & if there's abuse going on the "authorities" can take care of it.
A) so it's ok for abuse to happen even once as long as the state steps in THEN, hopefully before it's too late?
B) IN CPS has had a pretty shitty track record as of late, so I'm not sure they should be relied on as the safety valve of this.
C) Most of the people who argue parents' rights will also argue against CPS getting involved in anything but the most egregious abuse.
I really wish I'd A) been taught more about pointers in college and B) kept up on stuff like pointers even though I used a pointer-free language for so long in my last few jobs spanning 12 years
Because I'm here debugging pointer issues and my head hurts.
