AaronBREAKING: Starbucks to shut down *all* Ithaca locations as a part of its union busting efforts.
This means that over 30 people will lose their jobs, as a result of Starbucks' illegal anti-union efforts.
Ithaca was the first city that had 100% of its Starbucks stores unionized & now it will the first city to have all of its Starbucks stores shuttered.

Had a reply say that it's the "parents right to know" & if there's abuse going on the "authorities" can take care of it.
A) so it's ok for abuse to happen even once as long as the state steps in THEN, hopefully before it's too late?
B) IN CPS has had a pretty shitty track record as of late, so I'm not sure they should be relied on as the safety valve of this.
C) Most of the people who argue parents' rights will also argue against CPS getting involved in anything but the most egregious abuse.
I really wish I'd A) been taught more about pointers in college and B) kept up on stuff like pointers even though I used a pointer-free language for so long in my last few jobs spanning 12 years
