@beverloo Hey Peter. I am a Search&Rescue volunteer and I am currently developing (native) apps for team activation as all of the available apps are too expensive and/or have complicated onboarding requirements. We have the entitlement for iOS critical notifications that cut through all notification blocks, but there is no such thing for Android. In other words, volunteers would have to go through manual notification exceptions which of course makes everything less reliable and more complicated. I was wondering if you would support adding something like iOS critical type push notifications? More about us here: https://www.pecosvalley.org/
We intend to make the apps free and only charge pennies to run and maintain the required servers.
@slightlyoff Alex: To whom would I have to pitch the request for "emergency" push notifications (native apps) ? We're developing an emergency app for our not for profit Search&Rescue outfit and a need an easy way to bypass all do not disturb settings. iOS has this feature and it makes things a lot easier. Especially if folks are not that involved with Android settings .. ?
