@slightlyoff Alex: To whom would I have to pitch the request for "emergency" push notifications (native apps) ? We're developing an emergency app for our not for profit Search&Rescue outfit and a need an easy way to bypass all do not disturb settings. iOS has this feature and it makes things a lot easier. Especially if folks are not that involved with Android settings .. ?

@slightlyoff @beverloo I contacted Peter. As to your suggestion: It's not so much a ringer as a (native) push notification that goes through all notification blocks (sleep mode). We have the entitlement to use critical notifications on iOS, but there's no such thing on Android.
@mischmerz @beverloo No, I get it. I'm saying: please outline your use-case and the need for an extension to the Push spec to cover an adjacent question in the repo somewhere. That will allow us to cite it and work towards a solution.
