The people who hate Alien Earth are the same fans who hated Prometheus because "No xenos = terrible movie, derp derp."

Alien Earth is deeply flawed, yes. But at least it's trying to do something new and creative with the franchise -- not just rehashed jump scares and tired fan service. But the brain dead "fandom" just want endless repeats of Aliens: aka ICE agents in space.
