@natesec Mastodon is great for this actually. There is so much less useless fluff and memes here (atleast in my bubble) that I spent noticeably less time browsing it, and most of the time I'm actually reading something thoughtful. Fediverse for the win.

@nixCraft got a T420 I got for cheap 6 years ago running Arch like a boss. That would have been two therapist visits at a maximum. I count this as an absolute win.

I've been lurking here since Musk bought the birdsite. I have loved computers and the internet since I was a kid, though I didn't have a Commodore or such, my first computer was a MikroMikko one with a 386 chip, bought from a flea market by the time it was ancient! It had Windows 3.1 and I managed to brick it at least once.
Other than tech, I love #motorsports. Rallying and endurance racing #WRC #WEC are my favorite sports. I listen to metal music, mostly the extreme end of things like death and black metal, but I appreciate all good music. Master Boot Record is the shit.
