For all the Scrum Masters I know who've introduced story points, estimating or planning to their teams, this article by Ron Jefferies is filled with practical guidance on how to work better without any of it.

But if the Scrum Gods themselves went to people's offices and told them that they could get more value without estimating or planning, I don't think many would be able to process it.

Why? Maybe powerful cultural norms of control, or needing things to be explicit?
