We had a wonderful time. My favorite days were the ones spent in Norway's fjords & the day we explored the Stockholm Archipelago, like you suggested, & spent the day hiking around one of the islands. Simply magical.
I have to say it was rough returning to a country that has invested so little in public transportation. The trains & busses made travel so easy & pleasant.
