Yes, I realize the blue checkmark means nothing, but that's kinda the point.

A guy I went to high school with, whose wife and daughter are very visibly NOT white, joked about how he needed to "borrow a musket because [he] wasn't prepared for the civil war [he] was told would happen."

It's all fun and games until your girls are questioned for papers or need medical care, you stupid son of a bitch.

"It's just jokes, bro."

I really, really fucking hate this simulation we're in.

I'm just mad at everyone. We all let him off the goddamn hook and didn't shout loud enough, didn't fight hard enough as a society to say that we'd had enough. We allowed these feckless, aggrieved motherfuckers harness their rage better than us, with less than half the brain cells they could muster as a fucking tribunal compared to a single one of us. We got played by some caveman fucks and now my kids will pay for it. Fuck this.
Everything fucking sucks and I hate it. Get me the fuck out of this hellscape reality.

Back here again because I need somewhere to safely shout into the void.

I'm sick of these dumb motherfuckers voting against their own interests. My dad's fellow AsAm immigrant friends who voted for the impotent orange man because they think he'll fatten their wallets. A white kid I went to school with, who isn't considering the implications on his POC wife and daughter. Even gays who don't get that he'd let them die with no regard.

We are so fucked and all I can do is cry for my kids.

#FinalFantasyXVI is the best modern game demo I've ever played.

I'm admittedly not big on high-fantasy and medieval settings. I wasn't exactly anticipating FFXVI, but folks were talking about the demo, so I figured I'd give it a chance.

My jaw is on the floor. No recent demo has ever sold me on a game so convincingly, especially with zero interest heading into it.

It is simply amazing.

Sorry, I don't give a shit about Phil.

It feels like everything sucks right now.

Twitter is owned by an egomaniac with Nazi-adjacent vibes. Facebook has become a haven for your stereotypical boomers. Reddit has an arrogant dickhead parading poorly as a populist businessman. Twitch is messy and its alternatives are too boring or shittily redpilled for me.

Not really a good time for casual mainstream Internet platforms right now.

This #RedditBlackout is pretty cool. I even took precautions and deleted Apollo and the official Reddit app from my phone so I wouldn't be tempted to visit and give them traffic.

The real test will be to see if I can avoid the temptation on my desktop without having to block the site in my browser.

I know someone whose entire identity is basically being perpetually underemployed because their interviewers were not up to the standard they expect for an employer.

Look, just say you're not hireable.

I get having standards, but if you keep interviewing and haven't nailed a steady job in years despite allegedly receiving offers, the problem might be you, not your prospective employers.
