In both the forest and our garden, the plants sprouted quite early and many fruits are ripening earlier than usual as well (currently blueberries and blackberries, among others).
I also noticed that the first ticks were already active in February.

I'd say that our small forest patch looks a little better this year than last year, when there was no significant rainfall during the main growth period of the trees in May/June.
By the end of the dry period in this year's April/May, the first signs of drought damage became visible, especially on younger trees, but at the moment the forest patch is lush and green.

From mid-March to the end of April, somewhat warmer periods with daytime temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius alternated with cooler periods with daytime temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius (and even night frost at the end of April).
There was no significant precipitation from mid-April to mid-May.
Since mid-May, there was a mixture of sunny and rainy days and it was warm (but not hot). Temperatures remained below 30 degrees Celsius until yesterday.

@privatarchiv Profitgier: das Absurde ist, dass sich das Abräumen der Schadflächen und anschließende Aufforsten im Grunde gar nicht rechnet, zumindest nicht ohne Fördergelder.
Im verlinkten Artikel kann man sehr schön sehen, dass auf den Flächen am Eisenberg noch/schon Laubbäume vorhanden sind, und die noch stehenden Nadelbaumskelette für die Naturverjüngung Halbschatten spenden. Vermutlich wäre es ökologisch und vielleicht sogar ökonomisch sinnvoll gewesen, auf der Fläche gar nichts zu tun.

@privatarchiv So ähnlich wird es wohl bei uns den Kiefernforsten gehen... Immer mehr Kiefern fallen aus, und die beigemischten Fichten und Lärchen sind auch schon größtenteils abgestorben.

@privatarchiv Vermutlich eine tote #Nadelbaumplantage, oder? Gerade in schwarzweiß sieht das sehr dramatisch aus, ich könnte mir aber vorstellen dass die Fläche im Sommer schon wieder relativ grün ist, voller Wildkräuter und kleiner Pionierbäume wie Ahorn, Birke, Eberesche... Das aktuelle Nadelbaumsterben ist auch eine Chance für einen natürlicheren, gesünderen #Wald.
Es wäre sehr spannend, im Sommer ein farbiges Vergleichsbild zu sehen. :)
