@randahl I think this whole thing is much more a strategic attempt at a purely performative politics. While it would have been great for democrats to be able to restore the ACA subsidies, it is likely better for the midterm election cycle for the dems to let the republicans own their willingness to let them expire. It’s grotesque that politics are open blood sport now in the USA, but when money is speech and corporations are people it’s sadly a zero sum game.
