In a new piece at Nature's npjVaccines, I argue that COVID vaccine hesitancy may be “spilling over” to shape public support for vaccination in other areas; especially in red states.

This may thereby create an incentive for politicians to pass policies that weaken vaccine mandates.

I also discuss how to effectively study “politicized COVID vax. spillover” in future longitudinal, experimental, and correlational research.

I got a completely serious peer review request from a reputable journal today (12/21). Due in 7 days.
The only thing I'll be reviewing over the next week is my "naughty list." Which justtttt got a bit longer. 🎄☃️

I support BUSPH's decision to disengage from Twitter.

As a jr. scholar, Twitter helped me share work and exchange ideas with folks doing research across the social sciences. I really value the co-authorships and friendships I've built because of Twitter.

I'm still grappling with how I want to navigate my own presence there. But, I support anyone who "draws a line in the sand" at Elon Musk using the platform to attack public health, and denigrate its practitioners.

However, one way to keep connected is by the use of *a group*

So, please, all political scientists, follow this group get all political science posts: @politicalscience

Any good quotes about the importance of concessions from Rs since Tuesday night? Have been highlighting concessions in thread below but especially interested in people affirming the value of the act itself like Tim Ryan

We show that racial prejudice is associated w/ confidence in (highly-racialized) #COVID19 & climate misinformation, but plays less of role in shaping opinions on less-racialized policy issues.
