Programming languages: "We are just a way to operate computers in a way that makes sense to humans."

Programming languages [takes a big joint hit]: "What if there were 5 kinds of nothingness?"

Congrats Fediverse users for having done your part!

Elon’s takeover of Twitter is still considered “one of the worst that banks agreed to finance since the 2008 financial crisis”. Banks are trying to resell the debt at around 90 to 95 cents on the dollar

I just made a response video on TikTok to someone who said that you shouldn't leave Meta because Zuckerberg WANTS the left to leave and because if you do then your voice will be snuffed out.

I replied that Meta IS NOT all of social media and that there is a BETTER social media out there and that everyone should look up "the fediverse". No ads. No corporate bullshit. All owned and operated by everyday people.

It amazes me how far people will go to stay on Meta. What a load of shit.

This is the most butt-hurt platform. Someone yells at me for posting a link to something paywalled (and sorry, it’s skill issue if you can’t get past it or find an alternative) and when I point out that I don’t work for them, they throw a temper tantrum and block. Block whoever you want. But I don’t work for you. I don’t answer to any of you. I’ll post links to where I want to post.
Thought he could be a lil more cozy :)

Calling it a gotcha that I "critique Biden policies after voting for him" is what's wrong with US politics today.

Voting for him doesn't mean I can't critique him—it's literally the best reason to be critical. It's called holding electeds accountable. It's how democracy works. And it’s how political parties work when they aren’t cults.

I finally had the logic of backing in to perpendicular parking spaces explained to me in a way that makes sense.

• The driver’s visibility ahead of the vehicle is better than behind it
• There are more potential hazards in the traffic lane than in the parking space

So nose-in-back-out puts the better visibility in the zone of lesser hazard, where back-in-nose-out applies the better visibility to the zone with the greater hazard.

I found this taped to the door of the geography department at GWU today and it brought me so much joy. A guide to figuring out when a map was made based on features. Zoom in. It’s amazing.
Made this handy guide for my fellow Americans who might be new to F1

A trick I learned (I think from @film_girl) a while ago is that if you create `~/Developer`, you get a cool sidebar icon in Finder. That's where all my code goes now.
