There’s something thoughtful or surprising in almost every paragraph.
I love what Paris has done but this is *not* a one-sided discussion; the changes in Paris have seriously increased class oppression via the gig economy.
And, is it OK for a nexus like Paris (or even a small one like Vancouver) to be run entirely in its own interests (“screw the burbs”)?
In February 2022, I left my job at Splunk to take some time first to relax then to focus on finding a fantastic next job. I managed to do both during my three months of funemployment, landing a job at Stripe in the Atlas team in May. I was laid off in November 2022, along with most people who were hired during this time.
Seit Jahren sinken die CO₂-Emissionen in Hamburg im Verkehrssektor kaum [1]. Gleichzeitig steigt die Anzahl der zugelassenen Pkw, trotz angekündigter Verkehrswende kontinuierlich [2] und das meist schneller als die Anzahl der Einwohner:innen [3]. Ein kurzfristiger Rückgang der registrierten Autos in zwei Quartalen hat zu keiner langfristigen Trendwende geführt [4]. Der letzte IPCC-Sachstandsbericht hat jedoch deutlich gemacht, dass für die Einhaltung der Pariser Klimaziele eine sofortige Trendwende und tiefgreifende Emissionsminderungen in allen Sektoren nötig ist [5]. Dem Verkehrssektor kommt eine bedeutende Rolle zu, denn er verursacht 28% Prozent der Emissionen, die schnell und drastisch gesenkt werden müssen.
