@pluralistic ah yes, science fiction author L Ron Hubbard. Maybe not wrong, just maybe not the “main” thing I’d consider notable about him
@KlausGerdGiesen wait, so if you make viable alternatives to driving, people will use them? Impossible, it will never catch on! (please ignore all of the places it’s caught on, thank you)
@AP why do I have the feeling this is going to last exactly as long as it takes for the state’s most conservative (or just most fame seeking) judge to write the legal version of “lol nope”
@[email protected] I hope that includes stopping the billions of dollars of weapons we send them. Seems weird to say “we want a ceasefire, also here’s soooo many bombs”
Hey #northtexas peeps! I’m looking into installing rooftop #solar for my house, and I was wondering if people had any advice for finding legit companies (quality work, post-install support, no shady financing, etc) to come out and evaluate my options. Anyone have any experience or recommendations here? #solarpower #cleanenergy

@Possiblydrew I’ve had a great experience with my Aventon so far and I’ve got friends who swear by Lectric. Both of them have <$2k options for both commuter and cargo e-bikes
@evanpeterjones mmm, nothing warms my soul than miles and miles of asphalt. And the best part is that it’s so space efficient! Why, for 8 hours a day it’s almost 50% full, and the rest of the time you don’t have to worry about parking! Plus, you could teach your kid to drive there so it’s basically that mixed use development you urbanism folks are always going about!
